Bel appartement 3 pièces avec terrasse et parking à Villeneuve-Loubet Plage - FR-1-252A-84

Points positifs : Nous venons de passer une semaine en famille dans cet appartement, idéalement situé entre les commerces et la plage, nous avions accès à tout à pieds, en cette période estivale ne pas utiliser sa voiture est un vrai bonheur (box privatif compris avec l’appartement). L’appartement est cosy, bien équipé et propre.

A great long vacation at Cote d’Azur for a big family

Points positifs : We liked the vacation very much - the apartment, the view, the location. The apartment was very close to the train station as well as to the beach. It was also close to the local store and not very far from a big supermarket. People at the reception were very helpful - they helped us to check in and check out, and even booked a transfer to the airport. We stayed for 8 days and really enjoyed the time.

Points négatifs : The one thing that we didn't like though was communication with the host. Right after I booked the apartment, the listing owner referred me to their local partner in Villeneuve-Loubet who had to pass me the key. I was told to contact the host at least a week before the arrival. I tried hard to do that, but man, that wasn't easy at all! The host was not reachable. They did not have messengers, so I emailed them multiple times, used contact form on their website, and eventually ended up calling them by phone. The calls were answered by a robot which would give a long speech in French and hang up. After multiple attempts I managed to catch a live person. To his credit, Jerome was nice and friendly. It appeared that he did receive my emails. I asked him to respond to at least one of them and give me a WhatsApp contact. When we got to the apartment, the key waited for us at the reception, just like Jerome said. The bed sheets were also there. And we did not see Jerome after that. I messaged him before leaving asking about the right checkout procedure and never heard back. I just left the key at the reception the say way I collected it. To sum that up, the key was in place, the apartment was great, but the support was awful. When travelling 2000 miles, one needs support from a live human onsite - at least for peace of mind. I had that in all my previous trips - there was always someone who would answer my questions, help with a transfer, and stay around just in case. This is the first time when it is that hard to get help from the host and I don't think it's normal.
